Yagoy is one of the bigger studios in Amsterdam, having one location with two huge rooms in the Pijp and another studio in the west.

They offer healthy snacks and nice tea in a cafe like vibe, while the tea here does cost you serious $. The staff are very cool and loving, and classes range from calm to active flow classes. My two favorites here were “Sweat & Flow” with Brenda van der Toorn and “Relax and Restore” with Fleur van Zonneveld. Brenda teaches this mindblowing flow class where you literally flow from one pose into the other, not realizing that these combos could happen so seamlessly. Any more flow would be LIQU!D 😛

They also have a little store where you can buy all kinds of cute stuff as well as relatively cheap yoga gear.

Location: 2 studios (I have up until now only tried Pijp).

Styles: They group their classes in four different styles with changing teachers:
Sweat and Flow (More active flow classes, that range from spicy vinyasa classes to more classic and heavy Ashtanga classes) Meditate and Breath (Well…meditate and breath…)

Relax and Restore (Some kind of Yin Yoga with a lot of rest and chilling out)
Energize and Renew (breathing, active flowing and a lot of relaxing)
Costs: 10,- per Session // 55,- for the cheapest monthly all you can yoga

Extras: Always free water, a lot of extra workshops and teacher trainings…haven’t tried those…yet.

Yoga, music, love and good food. More love than reason, more "lets see what happens" than the perfect annual plan. Listening to that space you can call guts feeling, heart space or whatever you want to call it, and combining it with a healthy portion of balls to challenge established views and cut through the bullshit. I have a background in nightlife, where I ran an event agency and a nightclub. Later a quick and intense stroll into advertising brought me to fall in love with Amsterdam. I love good wine, can eat till I drop and love having people and good music around me. That's me. Or at least how I would summarize what's on my mind mostly :)
